“Hacks” opened its first episode of its first season with a bravura tracking shot that followed its stand-up star Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) from door to casino floor to backstage to stage of the Palmetto Casino. So…managed to set up and complete my first casino heist today (going the aggressive route), along with sitting in on another friend’s heist (who went the big con route). It was fun, although my first take wasn’t very big and could’ve been better. Oh well, I see it as a learning experience. Hopefully the rest of you can learn from what I’ve seen and better plan out your heists.If you’re a new player without much in the way of cash or gear, I would stay away from getting an arcade. The initial setup costs are expensive, many of the setups can be challenging and time consuming (especially if you don’t at minimum have a Buzzard), and you won’t make much money in the finale if you don’t know what you’re doing.You can make a little side income from the arcade itself by filling it with machines, but you’ll be spending a few million to buy all of them and this only boosts your money per day to about $5K. Definitely only buy the arcade machines if you’re interested in actually playing the games. 1) PAYOUTS – The heist seems to have a base payout of $2.1m, but expect your NPC crew members to absorb a big chunk of that. It’s more realistic to expect to end up with $1.6-1.4m to split amongst your team when it’s all said and done.
